This Privacy Policy describes how mapped - Store Locator ("we", "us", or "our"), developed by Xphere Technology Company, collects, uses, and shares information when you install and use our Shopify application.

Information We Collect

Our app collects and stores store location data that merchants enter, including:

• Store names and addresses
• Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude)
• Phone numbers and email addresses for store locations
• Business hours
• Retailer logos (uploaded images)

Information We Do Not Collect

Our app does not collect, store, or process any customer personal information. We do not access:

• Customer names, emails, or contact details
• Order or purchase history
• Payment or billing information
• Browsing behavior or analytics data

How We Use Information

Store location data is used solely to display an interactive store locator map on your Shopify storefront. Data is stored as Shopify metaobjects within your own Shopify store and is not transferred to external databases.

Data Storage

All location data is stored as metaobjects in your Shopify store using Shopify's infrastructure. Session data required for app authentication is stored securely on our servers and is automatically deleted when the app is uninstalled.

Data Retention and Deletion

When you uninstall the app, your session data is deleted from our servers. Store location metaobjects remain in your Shopify store under your control and can be deleted at any time. Shopify automatically removes app-related data within 48 hours of uninstallation.

GDPR Compliance

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and respond to all mandatory Shopify data requests:

• Customer data requests: Since we do not store customer personal information, no customer data is returned.
• Customer data erasure: Since we do not store customer personal information, no customer data requires deletion.
• Shop data erasure: Upon receiving a shop data erasure request, all associated data is scheduled for deletion.

Third-Party Services

Our app uses MapLibre GL for map rendering on the storefront. MapLibre is an open-source library that does not collect user data. Map tiles are loaded from third-party tile providers, which may log standard web request information (IP addresses, user agents) as described in their own privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
